About The Bloody Long Walk

The Bloody Long Walk is a national series of 35km charity walks designed to raise funds to find a cure for mitochondrial disease (mito)—a debilitating and potentially fatal condition that affects thousands of Australians. By participating, you’re helping to power vital research and change lives, one step at a time.

The Course

Starting at Yarra Bend Park in Kew, you’ll set out on a breathtaking route that winds through some of Melbourne’s most scenic trails and urban landscapes.
You’ll pass iconic locations including:

  • The tranquil Yarra River trails
  • Picturesque inner-city parks
  • Bustling Southbank promenade
  • The vibrant streets of St Kilda

After conquering 35km, you’ll reach the final stretch along St Kilda’s famous beachside boardwalk, crossing the finish line at St Kilda Sea Baths.
