Get ready for one of the most exciting race days on the IRONMAN Oceania circuit! The QATAR Airways IRONMAN 70.3 Melbourne returns on Sunday, November 9, 2025, kicking off at the St Kilda Sea Baths (swim start). Beachcomber Cafe will be open early and serving coffee at the commencement of the swim.
With the beach, city skyline, and a vibrant local atmosphere, St Kilda sets the perfect stage for world-class triathlon racing and seaside celebrations. The event runs from Friday, 7 November, through to Sunday, 9 November (Race Day)

The event begins with a 1.9km one-lap swim in the calm waters of Port Phillip Bay, starting and finishing right in front of the St Kilda Sea Baths. Competitors will dive in under the iconic St Kilda Pier, swim through the protected bay, and exit near Catani Gardens—all with the stunning Melbourne skyline as a backdrop.
Next, athletes take on a 90km two-lap bike course along the fully closed and famous Beach Road, followed by a 21.1km run along the coast. The run offers sweeping views of the bay, the beach, and Melbourne’s cityscape, finishing with a hero’s welcome at Catani Gardens in the heart of St Kilda.
St Kilda Sea Baths is the place to celebrate. Refuel and relax beachfront at Republica, Beachcomber Café, Stavros Souvlaki or Captain Baxter, all offering front row seats to the course, food, drinks, and unbeatable views of the bay. Car Parking is available at the St Kilda Sea Baths, making it easy for spectators and participants to access the event and enjoy the post-race festivities. Keep in mind, there are Road Closures, and there is plenty of bike parking.
